I don't have any travel suggestions, but I'm happy for you about ending a relationship if it needed to end and taking a big trip! This all sounds vertiginous and inspiring and maybe just the right seed-bed for that book you refer to in Note 1. :-) Happy, happy travelzzzzz - or nap.
I really loved this one. Second to last paragraph is great. Was planning to comment even before I saw you gave me a shout out- thank you! Also same to your work timeline.... 17 months is my current record and how do people even do work without -substantial- breaks every couple years?!
Loved this. Especially how you hold space for the things you don’t feel like writing about. Feels like a permission slip of sorts to those of us who feel pressured (by ourselves or our industry) to publicly reflect on big events, even when we don’t really want to. Wishing you all the rest, and vicariously excited for your big trip! Hope you have all the fun, take some delicious naps, and surprise yourself along the way :)
I just finished reading Tunnel 29, incredible telling of postwar Berlin and a group of people who successfully dug an escape tunnel beneath the Wall. Highly recommend! Enjoy your travels.
Naps are a necessity! And yeah, I get the 20 minute thing. That hasn't been long enough for me since the pandemic. Now I set my timer for 28 minutes which, as you know, is too long - whatever that science is. When the alarm goes off, I rarely get up.
but hey, meanwhile, congrats on planning a trip! Three weeks is a nice chunk of time!
Nothing better than a good nap!
Post-season POW for the third week? Some good napping out there.
Ha! I don’t disagree. But the Frankfurt to Anchorage direct flight is hard to beat :)

Thanks, Tara. This is exactly what I need to hear

I still need to hear your full Dublin story
